RYA Courses
Ocean Academy offers RYA Powerboat Training Courses from our challenging and spectacular locations.
Our powerboat training courses include RYA Powerboat Level 1 & 2, Intermediate and Advanced Power Boat, RYA VHF / DSC Training, Sea Survival and RYA First Aid. Ocean Academy also offers your ICC International Certificate of Competence, being the European Powerboat qualification or "Boat Licence".
In addition to this we can also offer the CEVNI European inland waterways certification to allow you to hire vessels for use of the canals, rivers and lakes of Europe.
Ocean Academy can offer training on a variety of craft from RIBs through to twin engined power cruisers and will happily assist with own boat tuition. This will give you the benefit of our knowledge and training, in the familiar environment of your own boat, thereby offering the best way of developing your own confidence and skills.
We are also able to offer RYA Instructor training courses up to and including Advanced Instructor and would be happy to discuss with you the options and benefits.

RYA Powerboat Certificate of Competence
This is for those interested in being a commercial skipper and in conjunction with and HSE medical and the shore based courses, allow you to operate vessels with fee paying clients, as opposed to just friends and guests.
